Is it wrong to be jealous of your NHS? I really am!

I have heard actors/dancers use this technique.

Ooo I love stuff like this. I'm a yoga instructor and am always looking for new info. Really this is very in line with the concepts of yoga.

I haven't tried it but I have heard wonderful things about it for posture, pain reduction, and general well-being.

Where I live on the east coast we have a practitioner of the Alexander Technique who studied with the first students of the founder. She did a demonstration I attended and had a chance to experience a few minutes of it. I felt very centered and relaxed afterwards. It's not inexpensive so I haven't decided if this is something I'm going to pursue or not.

Just google "Alexander technique" - they have a web site listing practitioners in a number of US states and in other countries in addition to information about the technique and choosing a practitioner.
