Three years sober!
Wooot! I have reached the three year sober mark today! My life has changed a lot in those years, and it wouldn't have been possible it I hadn't finally found sobriety. I thank all of the good folks here at SR that have been my rock over the last few years, and I hope I'm able to give back some of the support that this awesome community has shown me.
Three years ago my life was a mess! I was drinking three bottles of wine every day, week in and week out, year in and year out. It was getting to the point where I could feel my body slowly dying from the punishment of daily binge drinking. One day I told myself no more, it stops today. In desperation I Googled for ways to quit and found SR.
You may think you're too bad off, that you've gone to far, that you've lost too much, that you're beyond hope. That's categorically not true! There is hope for you, there is a life beyond drinking. As the old saying goes, it's not always easy but it's always worth it.

Congratulations! You are such an inspiration to me. I was a 2-3 bottle of wine a day drinker also. I am just at the beginning (still…) but your posts show me that it IS possible and there IS hope. Thank you, really and truly. And huge, huge congratulations again.
