Met rock bottom
I have not been doing too good. Have more days is sobriety than not for some time. In the last month had terrible binges but extended periods sof sobriety. Now have been off any alcohol for last 15 days. I still have the dull pain in my right side.
Liver results last month were norm but the physical this month shows elevated enzymes . Meeting Doctor next week for next steps. But the anxiety is killing med. did I finally had one too many and have no hope now?
Please help
The liver is pretty resilient. You may find that your enzymes go back to normal quickly. Don't borrow trouble from the future - just wait until your doctor talks to you. I wouldn't get too worried, I've heard many stories of really high enzymes that reversed in a few months.
Good reason not to drink again, though.

If your liver results were normal, then I'd trust your Dr on this one, the liver is a great piece of kit, it can repair, elevated enzymes can be reduced with time!!
It's time though to draw a line under alcohol, as time goes on you'll more than likely forget about this health scare, so the question is, what are you going to do to make sure that this period of Sobriety is a permanent change to your lifestyle?!!
You never have to feel or go through this again, if you don't want to, but it's gonna take a plan and a proactive approach to making Sobriety happen for the long term.
You can do this!!

I'm glad you're under a doctor's care, Goodstart. I agree with the others - try not to be anxious about it. I drank for decades, & in the end it was every day. For some reason I had no liver issues.

Thanks all! Thanks Biminblue for your kind words . I sure hope so. Purple night you are so right . I had some issue las year in blood work but repeat readings were normal and I all but forgot it . This time though I am making lifestyle purposeful changes. 45 minutes walk is now an everyday day routine and veg fruit smoothies to fill my stomach in the eve which has been my drinking time.
Dee I would really hope this is still a chance .
Hevyn I am anxious and worrying by nature . Trying to find some meditation resources to help .
