2 weeks sober

Just checking in. Today is 14 days sober for me and feeling good. Sleeping normally, still sweating a good bit when I sleep but less and less. Head feels pretty clear and functioning. Physical withdraw is pretty much gone aside from a finger or two trembling for a couple seconds here and there, but it goes away quickly. Appetite is ferocious, can't seem to eat enough. Cravings come and go havent had any that were completely overwhelming. Then again, this is my second serious attempt at being sober so I knew what to expect and how I overcame cravings before. Definitely, made it easier to control this time. That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well and fighting the good fight.

Great job and congrats on 2 weeks MadM. Sounds like you have learned from your past and applying that knowledge now.

Fantastic job.

Thanks for the support. This place helps my recovery tremendously. I wouldn't have been able to get sober without the knowledge and support I've received here. Now I just need to stay active here and not get complacent in my sobriety. That's what lead me down the path to relapse after 4 months sober.

Well done!
I am 1 week sober today and like you I just can't stop eating, I dread to think how much weight I am putting on, still craving alcohol big time but trying to stay strong.
