I think you need to go to bed after your shower.

Even a rockstar can change their life GoesWithTheFlow.

http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...ock-stars.html

I was a gigging musician. I used to blame 'the life' too.

The fact was I kept making bad choices. I knew they were bad choices but I kept making them because I was deathly scared of what my life would be like sober.

My sober life is awesome Goes - totally different to the life I used to lead, sure, but a million times better...

don't take 20 years to decide which life is better for you like I did.

You already know, Goes - you just need to find the courage to go for it.

(put me down as a vote for bed too - when you're in a hole, stop digging, man)

I honestly find I enjoy music (both listening and playing) way more now.
I'm not being a goody two shoes - I just missed so much of what was going on, getting drunk or high.

Do yourself a favour and stay in, Goes.

You won't regret it tomorrow....but odds are you'll regret going out again.

yeah AliceinChains was big when I was gigging around the first time. Nutshell is a great song.

Layne Staley was my age.

He should still be here - and maybe he would be had he made better choices or reached out for help a little more?

who knows.

Glad you're staying in

I like so many different types of music. Maybe change up what you listen to could help.

Never give up Goes! I lived a rockstar life as far as partying and drinking goes too. 21 years of no memories, wasted time that I won't get back, dead dreams, too many close calls that I can't count... not worth the pain. You never know when you will run out of tomorrows.

Get yourself straight again. You deserve it and deep down know you will enjoy the hell out of life when everything is more clear without the destruction and confusion of alcohol.

You had 100 days. That's great and you know how to get it back. Time to go to work. We are here when ever you need.

Stop listening to the music that reminds you of getting drunk or saying F it for a little while , like after a one or two weeks sober. Doesn't mean , don't ever listen to it again. I loved listening to my music buzzed it was fun I aint gonna lie. Tupac, Biggie, etc all made me want to pour out a lil liquor. Im on day 6 its hard as hell but im going to give it 30 or 60 days as a first goal. See how it is to listen to my old school music then when im clean and sober. Its fun at the time but afterwards it just rocks ur body . Not worth it. Keep your head up .

Nope I live with an alcoholic. If that don't tempt me nothing will. I know you can do it to. You just have to decide.
