One Month Sober
I haven,t had a drink in a Month and its my birthday tomorrow 26th sep .
Iv,e got my anxiety levels near normal , sleeping better ,thinking clearer .
Iv,e been painting and decorating the house in my free time ( work that ive been putting off for a long time due to drinking) . Got the full livingroom wallpapered and the hall complete including stair case and top landing . planing to do kitchen and bathroom next then the three bedrooms ........................ pew its a challenge but you know what i,m enjoying it .
I want to say this though , I did get a few AV moments in the evening when i was finished my stint for the day , you know that old reward feeling . It did pass but just shows how it can try to creep in .

That creeping craving I get after accomplishing something, I want to drink too but I think of the money id spend on alcohol or go buy myself something nicer I can actually use . I also tell myself .. go post or read SB forum .. always makes me feel better

I never bothered with coffee before always tea but ive taken up coffee drinking and enjoying sampling the better brands . Bought various shapes and sizes of mugs and cups too lol .
As for the reward cravings they haven't been too bad but certainly were noticeable . As long as I don't let the poor mee's start i,m fine but how can I feel sorry for myself when everything is so much better . My last drinking binge is still very fresh in my memory and I don't want to go back there .
I don't mean to sound smug , I hate smugness because I know how quickly life can take a wrong turn into the darkness so I stay aware and don't forget where I was .
