Dealing with grief
Dealing with grief
Today is a bad day. I miss my daughter so much. Thoughts of happy days together that will never come to pass. Regrets for years of being a drunk Dad, Grand Children that will never be. Mostly I just miss her smile.
What I have learned through this nightmare is grief comes and goes. Tomorrow or the next day I will feel better than I do but when your in it things look pretty dark.
Well my friends, "Here is to a sober today and a better tomorrow ."

Thinking of you in your terrible loss.
My husband died 8 years ago, grief is terrible anguish and despair. We can but honour our lost loved ones by staying sober.
You are amazingly courageous and have been an inspiration to me.

So sad regarding your loss. My best friends daughter also died eleven months ago now. I have been there to support him the best that I can. It's such a painful thing for a parent to lose a child. My heart aches for you.
Thank you for showing us that no matter how rough like can be, no matter what comes our way, we can stay sober and count on God to see us through.
Your posts with your thoughts shared here on site mean a lot to me. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated.

The crazy thing is I have no idea what I want other than not feeling the way I do. Posting seems to be the right thing to do but I'm not sure why. I never would have guessed how hard and intense the feelings would be.
Just babbling and thanks for the support

I don't think anyone is ever prepared for the feelings. Posting is a great way to articulate the sorrow. Remember your daughter's smile and know she would probably not want to see you sad. Hugs to you.
Sorry for your loss.
Truly my worst nightmare. I love my son like nothing I have ever felt.
My Dad.s buddy lost his son a few.years ago to cancer. I think he was 11.
They poor guy drinks nonstop now.
