I've been a member for a year and a half stopped drinking for 23 days. since that time i have been drinking again ,but now it is causing atril fibrilation i'm in afib now all because the beer is the trigger i must stop my body is telling me to what's funny is how powerful the av is in my head because i know i will pay the next day i'm tired of this i've had enough sorry for the rant

Welcome back bllit. It's definitely possible for you to stop, but you need to see a doctor first to help with the symptoms you are experiencing.

bllit , That doesn't sound very food , very sorry for your struggle . I know were your coming from though . Dr. gave me 6 months to live in the end if I didn't stop . That scared me so bad I quit on the spot . Now I look at alcohol as Poison .
You quit for 23 days what ever you did than add to it , make a better plan . Gather more tools . Do anything you can ,I'm sure I don't want your health to get worse .

Hi Bllit it is really tough. I am also at the beginning and I am just focusing on one day at a time at this point. But I believe we can get it! If you find yourself going out to buy beer come here and start a thread instead.

Thanks I have had enough i'm a little scared i've been fighting this for awhile i've had a fib since 2011 probably before that just didn't know it has just gotten worse I can't even drink like I used to it only takes a few to start the ball rolling then I really pay

Well the start of day 2 my heart finally went back into rhythm was getting ready to go to the er ,but it straightened out now to keep it there no beer

Glad to hear it bllit! You got this. Yesterday I felt like my kidneys were going to fall out but today I feel better. Just had some coffee and a good breakfast.
