I am sure I am not the only one either. I know that the anniversary of the September 11th attacks is a terrible time for you as you remember and relive the loss of your sister.
I know I still feel such strong emotion on this day and did not experience the loss of anyone I knew, I can only imagine what it feels like for you and so many others.
I hope that today you will be able to honor your sister's memory in some way by being sober and present for both the bad and hopefully good memories of your sister.
I can think of no better reason to stay sober and live a healthy life to the best of our abilities other than to do so with the knowledge and hard example that life is indeed short and not guaranteed to any of us.
Warm thoughts also to our fellow members who lived through that hellish day in NYC, Pennsylvania and Washington DC.
While all of us might not be able to directly and fully understand your pain, know that there are many of us out there who mourn this anniversary with you.
