Off topic - inspirational music
Came across this the other day:
Lindsey Stirling - Take Flight
The music is fairly uplifting (past the intro) and the video is somewhat interesting in that it can be interpreted as a metaphor for our relationships.
Video spoiler below:
I interpreted the blue flowers as a metaphor for love. Her room is a metaphor for her heart. Initially the flower (love) only came to her from somewhere outside of her room (her heart) and she immediately was joyed by its beauty, but it wilted and faded as she tried to hold on to it. She goes on a journey full of obstacles and dangers in an attempt to restore this flower back to the way it used to be, even as the flower tries to fly from her grip on several occasions and she pursues it at great personal risk. At the worst point of the storm, the flower leaves her and she is forced to take a leap of faith and find her escape to safer ground. She then goes in search of a flower to bring back with her, similar to the one that left her before, only to come to the realization that the flowers (love) will bloom unblemished within her room (her heart) all on their own when she rediscovers her passions that she had left behind in an attempt to save the flower that came from outside of her room.
Edit: it seems an apt analogy when you consider how she leaves the safety of her room (her heart) to embark on the journey, losing herself in a maze of choices, having her world turned sideways when she thinks she's reached her destination, and finally having her world turned upside down when the flower flies away from her. And then the light enters her room (her heart) when she rediscovers herself.
