Here! Holiday weekender Sept 4th until...
I used to get so nervous in school and even any big group where I had to speak up. Yikes! All I had to do was say "Here!" Yet my heart raced.
So many new folks around. This thread is fun and moves quick. It can be hard to jump in. What do I say? What if I am off topic? What if I say something wrong? Wrong? Never.
So I want to extend a warm invitation to the newest or the lurkers this sober holiday weekend. A time when we might need help the most.
A simple "here" is all it takes. Just be seen. No requirements. No worries about topic or the right words. Just know YOU are NOT alone.

Oh there it is.... The call to sober camaraderie!!!
It's a long holiday weekend here in the states. Labor Day. I happen to be off for 5 days. I have beach days planned and dinner plans and sober lazy day plans. Imagine that? I love it! Oh yes! And all of you!!!!

Hey Mr B.... It's been ages since I sat in front of a fire. I forgot I have not much of anything like that in so long.
Beach days for me I think. And I want to try a dumpling place. That's all they do. Some sound very tasty.
Off work early today. Just a few hours.

Beach days,that sounds great. So does sitting in front of a fire.....we don't do much of that around here. We'll probably do lots of pool time and maybe some grilling this weekend. Like you K, I hope to see lots of new folks hanging out here on what can be a challenging weekend. I can be done though....and a little fun can be had too.

I see a couple of Irish friends here. I had a long conversation yesterday with someone just back from a long holiday on the Emerald Isle....they had a great time. I'm thinking some kind of hiking/walking tour would be fun there....great views and being outside are things I like.
Hi Trees, that reminds me that I checked on airfare to NZ too. It's a dream of mine to go there too. Wow the airfare was pricey....may have to dream a few more years, but I'll get there.
