Here I am again on my own....

Looking for some motivation as I've slipped again... This has to be the last time as my oar

Dim, motivation is right there if we look for it. From a SMART Recovery workbook: take a piece of paper and divide it into quarters with a pen or pencil. Label each box as follows:

Advantages of quitting
Disadvantages of quitting
Advantages of drinking
Disadvantages of drinking

Write down as many items as you can in each box even if there seems to be redundancy. Save to read whenever needed.

Hi.

How about not having a wet brain, loss of family, job, material items, misery and on and on including a miserable painful death. This disease is progressive and does not want to let go.

The other side of the coin can be JUST being comfortable in your own skin along with being proud of yourself for a start.

BE WELL

Hi Dim

I dunno about you but I had a lot of motivation to quit...but I ignored it.

I just wanted to see if there was a way that things could get better without me having to quit.

There's not.

But thats not bad news, it's really good news - and I hope you see that in time, Dim.

Give this time, this attempt, everything you've got. Make this the last time.

D

Hello Dim:

Do you have a plan? I found that really helped me when the cravings came...

Your motivation to look for motivation is motivation in itself. It's there, you just have to look a little deeper. As far as another slip up. I'm there with you, among many others.
