Can you keep a record of what you're spending now?

You mean you've cleared $5000 of debt (or spend more??) - sorry if I'm a bit dim but I couldn't tell.

I probably spent 20% to 25% of my entire yearly income on booze!

Thanks for the kind words! I meant I've shaved $5000 off of my visa bill. I still have a ways to go but I'm getting there. Wanna get off this hampster wheel of working a job I don't really like to afford an expensive apartment so I work a job I don't really like etc.etc.

I haven't really been keeping track of what I'm spending lately (I'm not spending alot actually), but it might be good to do that too.

Thanks guys!

I was drinking away too much money too. I'm looking forward to paying down some of the debt I have accumulated just because of a horrible habit. Great job!

I was chatting a bit about this yesterday. Drinking was my #1 priority. I would often reward myself with a steak and drinks (always plural), even if I didn't have the money. I lost my job last year and as a result burnt through my 401k and maxed my cards. I'm about to file bankruptcy.

I can't even begin to imagine how much of that debt was due to alcohol.
