Xanex withdraws

Hi. I have overcame hydrocodone taper and also tramadol taper to be free of pain meds for chronic pain. I have not had pain meds in 3 Months......However have took xanex for 4 years and dose has gradually increased to 3 times day .5mg. I had bad w/d symptoms on low dose pain med taper and now with xanex. That's how sensitive my system is. The xanex taper is not fun. I have been dropping .25 mg for 3-4 weeks. I just currently tapered to .25 twice and .5mg at night. I don't feel functional & constant headache. Any great advice would be appreciated......Can't wait to see how it feels to be totally free of all prescription drugs that alter my brain!!

Welcome Kay, i don't personally have experience with benzo withdrawals but I know that they can take a while and be unpleasant. I would assume you are doing the taper in consult with a doctor, is that the case? If so perhaps they might have some suggestions that could help too? I would think that getting adequate rest ( if you can! ) and eating a healthy diet/exercising would help.
