My Sober Thread
Hi I just created this thread so I could come and post in here how I am doing each day. Today is Day 1 and not made it out of bed Thanks for having me and the support I get from here.
... and today NeoNew...?
'Do the next right thing' ... in early sobriety it is often difficult to know what the 'next right thing' may actually be.
So for me, in my screaming, gut-wrenching fog of early recovery, I had to do the 'sister' to 'Do the next right thing' and do the 'next thing that has to be done' and ask myself (and ask in constant prayer) was that next step going to be in alignment with 'the next right thing'.
Yeah, it was that difficult for me ... just taking the next step in the 'right' direction.
Head toward the Light... Take that next step towards the Sunlight of the Spirit.
RDBplus3 ... Happy, Joyous and FREE ... and I KNOW U can B 2

Hey neonew.......your on the right path......outta bed, showered and cooking for yourself, chillin. You gotta take good care of yourself.....if you don't who will right? I think our addiction forces us to neglect ourselves. I came to the conclusion that every time I drink.....I am abandoning myself, just like I was abandoned as a child......I'm not doing that anymore. When your up to it, a little exercise goes a long way in helping you w the physical and mental side of recovery. Are you seeing a doctor about your issue?

Day 3 - Well day 3 here we go, I have plenty to do around the house to keep me busy today and going to call to my sisters for a while later. I am very snappy I must say but not smoked in 3 days also and that could be why Anyway just updating my thread and I will be doing so everyday and at times of danger which will be around the 7 day mark. Thanks again for your support and comments...

Day 4 - I have nothing to exciting planned for today a family meal and maybe some gaming as it is raining heavy outside. I do not drink when I am at home apart from bringing drink back from a night out so staying in when its miserable outside should not be an issue today. Yesterday was a bit testing my sister and mother had a few drinks in my company but I did not touch it and like I say I plan on coming to this thread at times of struggle. So onwards and upwards, I will be back here each day and lots during the next week which I am not looking forward to as my cravings will be crazy around day 7 onwards. Thanks again for the support and this thread keeps me accountable Take care Guys..
