444 Days Sober
Hello All,
It's time for bed for me but I wanted to stop by for a minute and encourage everyone out there struggling tonight. It can be done. I checked my sobriety app tonight and it's 444 days. I've been sober since June 1, 2014 and it was not an easy accomplishment. But it's one I'm most proud of; it changed my life for the better.
There's no secret to it; for me it was higher power and just taking it one minute, hour, day at a time. I didn't drink at 3pm; then 5pm; then 7pm and so on. Eventually I didn't drink all night; then again the next night. I prayed a lot. I spend time here and checked in daily. Shared how I felt (yea I know it feels weird at first guys but it really does help). Days turn into weeks; weeks to months. And it honestly does get easier. It's not instant or easy; it took me many many times to finally get it right. BUT it is worth it and you are worth the effort.
To anyone on the fence tonight just don't drink and live to see tomorrow and not drink then also.
