bad thoughts
Almost done day one. It's been up and down. Sweats, racing heart. I have such unhappy thoughts about my marriage during low points. Like after I fix this drinking problem I need to take a long sober assessment of my situation. I hope it is just the detox making me think this way. I'm not going to drink. That much I do know.

For many of us just dealing with today is sometimes tough enough.
We just don’t drink today even if our A$$ falls off.
Each day will get easier if we let it and concentrate on not drinking instead of drinking.
BE WELL

I was amazed when I gained a year of sobriety how much healthier my wife had become........
Take it one day at a time - eat, sleep and don't future trip. Listen to peaceful music - read a book that brings some quiet peace. Occupy your racing brain.
I prayed for a long time just to shut off the noise in my head
You never have to have another day one!!
keep coming back

Totally agree... one day at a time. I couldn't cope with solving my relationship problems. So I drank and drank. And that made it worse. If I had been sober and stronger sooner, I think I might have been braver and done what was difficult for me - leave.
