Just fought off a severe craving

Something is bothering me and I can't pinpoint what it is. I almost made a store run.

I hate bringing attention to myself, so I debated whether to even post this.

When in doubt, post.

I remember nearly making a store run -- more than once. Soooooo glad I didn't. You will be, too, Rio.

Hang in there. SR has your back.

Pat yourself on the back, Rio. You did good! I do hate that feeling when something is bothering you but you don't know what it is. For me, it's usually a sign that I need to take care of ME. Hope you figure it out.

Great job on posting. That is exactly what we should all do when we're feeling vulnerable. You should be very proud of yourself. And you my friend, will not wake up with a hangover tomorrow.

Good for you on posting! It's been a rough night for me as well, but I'm finally over the cravings. Seems like the evenings are really bad from about 4:00 until about 9 or so. That's when I used to do most of my drinking, of course. Hang in there. We can and we will do this.

Congrats on making the decision to not take that first drink. Great job coming here instead!

I post every single little thought/urge/craving I have. Hope you'll do the same.

Hi Rio ,
With sobriety moods pass and change , only when i was drinking was i "stuck" .

HALT is a good acronym hungry , angry , lonely , tired , i'm sure you can think of other stuff … too much coffee , not enough coffee LoL , dehydration .

glad you made it through , keep on

This is some valuable info right here. Thanks Mecanix.

I posted this in the August thread. I've reposted here where it's probably better suited:

G'morning everyone. I had a rough night last night, but I made it through, thx in a big part to this place. I don't feel great about it, due in part to some of my behavior. I may have been rude, and after reading a few different perspectives this morning, I've once again seen how mine is flawed.

On the plus side, the value in realizing that is immeasurable - it means I have a lot to learn. And to think I thought I had it all figured out.

Yea, and something is still bothering me. Anyway, day 6. No celebrating, just glad I don't have a hangover. Most of you are doing great

I don't view it as bringing attention to yourself (although you may feel that way). I view it as demonstrating your resolve to remain sober, and that is always a good thing. I believe most of us are here because alcohol has not enhanced our lives, but instead it has tried to destroy it. Good job Rio.
