Allen Carr books?
Allen Carr books?
Hi all,
I'm day 34, went to a bookshop today to see if they had any good books on alcoholism/sobriety. They had one by two women, written FOR women, so didn't bother with that. Then they had Allen Carr's book. I liked his quit smoking book, and it did help me quit years ago (although I still smoke now). But as far as I know, he was never an alcoholic; so I'm not sure I want to take advice from somebody who actually has no idea what it's like.
Anybody read it?? Any good?

You can check out our Book List for more titles, if you like:

You said you are still smoking so I would say read the Alan Carr book again. I mean properly read it, making notes if need be and taking time to digest what he says and turn over what it means for you. I did that and it enabled me to quit smoking permanently.

It is repetitive but I think that can be a good thing! Good luck!
