2 Months

Today I hit the 2 month mark alcohol free, probably been since my teens that I have gone that long.

I was never an everyday drinker but when I did (once or twice a week) it was all out non stop blackout drunk, I can't go back there. That's not the life I envisioned that's not who I want to be, there has to be something more and I'm determined to find out.

In the last two months I've come to the realization that alcohol took up a lot of my time (not to mention money) I have so much more free time now especially on my days off and trying to fill that void is proving to be somewhat difficult at times, I've managed so far to keep busy but my "Honey Do List" is getting shorter and I'm going to have to start getting a little more creative with my free time.
I've taken up hiking in the mornings, started to journal and have tried Mindfulness (although not very successfully) I need to find some new hobbies because I can't go back to my old one that's for sure!

I'm glad I found this forum and hope to contribute as much as receive.

Looking forward to 2 Months and a day tomorrow.

Congratulations, Nova! Nice sober living plan, too. I'm get into the realization that all my sober activities don't free me of any emotional pain all the time. The point is to feel whatever arises! Took me a while.
