Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to say hi!

I am about to start a home detox on the 3rd August with daily nurse support and I have been drinking daily for many years now, probably about 10.

I am nervous, excited and scared about what happens after I stopped drinking and finding out who the real me is, without alcohol and hoe I will cope with social situations

I lost my mum to alcohol last year, and since them I have blotted out my feelings with alcohol, I thought her death would make me sort myself out but instead I just got worse.

Here's hoping I can make it sober and not end up like my mother did.

I hoping to get some support from here

Thanks everyone. I'm so glad I stumbled across this site it looks great. Thanks so much for the lovely welcome and I will be joint the group of people just starting out like me ! Been meaning to do this for a long while but getting round to actually doing it has been difficult !! Think I will be posting lots ! ��
