Thankful

Tonight I am thankful that I am going to sleep sober and will wake up sober - knowing when I fell asleep, where I am, and that I won't be hungover all morning. A lovely feeling.

One of the things that helps me reconsider that drink is the thought of waking up without a hangover. I always feel relieved the next morning when I choose sobriety.

Amen to that! I have no idea how I got through some days feeling so poorly. Even just the daily slight hangovers. It is one of many good reasons I do not drink.

Wasting a Saturday and/or Sunday spending all day lying on the couch and feeling like shite gets boring. Nothing gets done, fun or otherwise.

Waking up on a weekend day hungover/ going through withdrawal was always one of the worst feelings in the world for me. Nothing got done and it seemed like the rest of the entire world had a life... and there I was, curled up in a ball... blech!
