After I first came on here and thought I was doing well I went down the slippery road again x I'm now on day 2 as I do awful after a weekend of beer x I'm scared as I ache like hell feel like crap x I'm doing a detox starting Friday as I have few days off work and going to give my body a good clear out it is crying out for x hopefully then my mind will be in a better place to quit the booze x x feeling like a failure x

Good luck. Go to meetings when you don't want to and just surrender to the disease of alcoholism and go to any lengths to get better. Good luck.

Suzzi Sorry to hear your having some set backs . I had plenty in my 10+ years . I see from your post you talk about your Body it's crying . Your so right take that path and run with it ! That's what has kept me sober for the last 2 years. Be more scared of what this Demon and what it's doing to your health . I know I was just a few drinks away from my body giving up on me . The Will To Live has kept me Strong enough to fight .
I'm new here and maybe just repeating what you may have already heard. Never hurts to refresh your thoughts to start again . Good luck on your path .

Many of us had a few false starts. Every time I did, I realised I had to do more next time.

Look at what you were doing for your recovery last time - what more could you add to that?
