It is head but the first step is to pour out what's left. Then get a plan and commit

Pour out what you've got left, go get something to eat, and then take a rest for a while. There's no better day than today to start a new way of life.

There's no need to apologize to us. We've all been in your shoes before, some of us are still there now. You're in my thoughts and prayers today, Lady3...

Don't beat yourself up, I had years of drinking and guilt as a result, many of us have, but we have to find a way to draw a line in the sand, that was then, this is now, and now we're going to write a new chapter to our lives, a happier one, not controlled by alcohol but on our own terms!!

You never have to feel like this again, write your next chapter!!

Many of us stumbled a time or too Lady - we understand how badly you feel.

Like others have said, throw the rest away and start again.

Maybe you need to do things a little differently next time?
Find more support, maybe, and use it - or make more changes in your life?

You can do this

Hi Lady, I had to stay glued to SR for a really long time. Kept my laptop open and logged in until I closed my eyes at night - for at least the first 4 months. Searching SR and posting kept my hands and mind occupied. I stay because I really like what I learn here and because recovery is not a straight line, as others have said.

Please drink a lot of water, eat, and get some good sleep. Tomorrow is a new day.

Hi Lady3, I don't like giving advice per se (sp?), but please try not to rack yourself with guilt. It's 100% natural and normal to feel that way, but does not contribute to the ultimate goal of sobriety. I dare say all it really does it make you feel bad, and being sober is about feeling good. I am wishing you the very best.
