I don't post much on here so have made a promise to take a little time each day for myself to visit SR to help with the maintenance of my recovery. Been sober since 11th January 2015, just worked it out 6 months, 3weeks and 2days reason being my addict had been throwing a tantrum recently, thankfully it didn't get its own way... I looked after myself, read loads and took our dog out for even more walks. Anyway had a using dream, smoking crack and drinking booze, woken up and I wanted to die for that second before reality dawned on me that I hadn't. So I wanted to say, I am truly grateful for my sobrietory, the beautiful gift of life that it has given me and Prayers for those who are still struggling. Amen

I find what also helps me is getting outside myself, reading other friends and newcomers posts and offering support. It is vital for me to try and help others.....

Great job on 6 months. Like Flynbuy said, staying active on SR helps me too. Don't have to post all of the time, but reading about what other members are going through and helping out when I can has made a world of difference.
