hello everyone

Well, I don't mean to disappoint anyone but I'm back out there. I guess I am not as strong as ya'll. Thanks for the support and I hope if I try again, I will be welcomed in here. Nobody is more disappointed than me.

Hey there!!! You are ALWAYS welcome here. You have the strength...and when you feel you don't, we can help. Don't be so hard on yourself. Most people have to try again and again before they can get sober. Are you going to AA or some other recovery support group?

Hang in there....you can do it!!!

Love and hugs--

nash, welcome back we are here for you we will gladly share whatever strength we have with you to do the heavy work you have got to do. I dont think there is an easy way. A day at a time a minute at a time dont put it into you. I think this is a fair statement most of us have been where you are now. Get some rest, drink some H2O, eat some food, breathe and stay connected to SR we are here. You can get sober.

Margaret Ann :
The only strength I've found came through honest admission of my own personal weakness. Seems like your doing that now as well. I am not disappointed in you, but as mentioned in our live time conversations, I am concerned -- for you. Support still exists and I hope you try again, beginning right NOW!

(((((((Margaret Ann ))))))) not a loser in Nashville or my eyes for that matter.

Hey NL,
Don't beat yourself up. We all fall in our own ways. The question is, will we get up and try again? As long as we try, there will be someone there to cheer us. Hugs, Magic

Hi Margaret Ann,
Magic is so right...
It's not that we fail in our attempt that counts.
The true measure of a person is how quickly we refocus, and what we learn.
You can absolutely get well. I believe that.

(((Margaret Ann)))

Was browsing in Barnes and Noble and a quote by Harvey MacKay comes to mind:

(paraphrase) "...success is measured by how many times one gets up after being knocked down..."

Don't beat yourself up, I'm sure (if you're like me) you'll be back again. We're ready when we're ready -- you'll always be welcome here!

Welcome back...good luck and never give up trying. Sobriety is worth the fight. I've picked myself up and brushed myself off a few times. Lately I've been on a winning streak thanks to AA.

Thank You

Thank you everyone for the support and kind words. I have a job interview this morning. Pretty excited and nervous about it. I can't tell ya'll how much I appreciated the wise input I received in this site. I don't know if I will drink today. But I know where to go if I don't. thanks again, my sober friends.

Hugs to you Margaret Ann!! Hope all went well on the job interview.

You are a winner when you keep trying.

I agree with changing your name and just get back to staying sober one day at a time. Just say for today, and then tomorrow will be a new day and a new commitment.

You are worth it!

Best, Jalyn

Hi Margaret Ann,

I failed a bunch of times too over the last year. I've been doing much better since I added SR to my arsenal of drug-fighting weapons. I'm glad you're back on your feet and trying again. I think you're a marvelous person and you can be proud of the progress you've made. Congratulations.
Sandy

The interview went well. It was just a preliminary interview. Hopefully they will call me back for second interview. If they do, I'm in. Thanks for the concern and will keep in touch.
