So have you been sober for 4 days now OMW? If so you're come through some bad days but it should ease up soon. Don't go back to day1 by drinking. You're doing a good thing.
Remember to eat well because it helps a lot.

Welcome, glad you're here.

Change is possible at any age. Saw a gent the other day pick up his 15 year chip - he is currently 82 years old!

I got sober at 54 - acceptance and willingness are the keys!

Thanks

Wow quick response. I did not get out of bed the whole weekend. I just got up to show up for two commitments than back to bed. The anxiety is a killer. Facing people after a blackout is equal or worse. I just wish I could wipe away my past.
Thanks for the positive response.

Worrying about the past steals from you the beauty of the present moment. Day 1 for me. Stay strong OMW, four days is a great first step.

Blackouts were the main reason, I stopped drinking.

I feel your pain. The only option for me was never drinking again.

It was the best decision of my life.

I'm glad you're here and posting.

You can do this!

Hi omw. As hard as it is try to forget the past, focus on the now, and then in time on the future. You cannot change the past but you can certainly change the future, keep going, keep being strong.

Great job on your 4 days sober, OMW.

The anxiety you're feeling is what we all go through. It gets better and easier as you go along. Be kind & patient with yourself as you heal. You never have to feel this way again.
