Newcomer here
Hello,
Feeling a bit awkward posting but want to say hello and am looking forward to my new journey of sober living😊. It's taken a while for me to become110% transparent in the fact that I and alcohol (wine) boo, well and of course all kinds are NOT friends😉 What was once social turned into medicating a very stressful few years😕 I hope to gain strength and wisdoms from the support offered here.

Hi Nikki and Welcome,
I, too, used alcohol to self-medicate and found myself stuck in the cycle of addiction very quickly. There is lots of support here, so I hope you keep reading and posting.

Welcome to SR, Nikki72. I highly suggest joining and actively participating in the Class of July 2015 thread found on this same forum. It's a great way to learn from and help others who are in early recovery.

Hi Nikki! Welcome to SR. By the time I arrived here I had no idea what was up or down or how the heck alcohol had become the most significant substance in my life. This is a great place to help suss all sorts of things out. You are in great company.
