Hola

Hello everyone.
I'm not new to this site but I've never posted a thread before. Everyone really seems to think it helps so I thought I would give it a try.
I have been going through a really rough relapse. But my life was just getting worse and worse because of the drink. It's tough to hold down a job when you drink morning, noon, and night.
So today is day 1....
My hands are shaking to the point where it's tough to type this! So I'll have to keep this brief.
One question though: I really want to get some Librium but I have no health insurance and very little money. I could pay for the Librium but definely not the out of pocket Dr visit. Does anyone have any ideas or personal experience with this?
Thanks

Hi easyvictor - welcome

There are a lot of free or low cost clinics around - if there's one in your local area you might get some medical advice or consultation there?

Free/Low-Cost/Sliding-Scale Clinics - NeedyMeds
The 10377 clinics in this database are free, low cost, low cost with a sliding scale based on income, or offer some type of financial assistance.

Hola, Victor. We're so glad you're here. I hope reading & posting will help with the anxiety. It will get better. Once you get through this you never have to go back there.

I don't know if this is true, but I have heard that if someone goes to the ER, they have to help that person, even if they don't have insurance. Maybe you could get some meds there that might help. John

I would call around your city and say exactly what you are going through, withdrawals. There are usually places that do sliding scale and maybe free if you qualify.

Also yes the ER if you feel that you are becoming too ill. Just tell them alcohol withdrawal and you are scared, they will take you seriously.
