Good News!
Hi All,
So I have some good news all of my own. I got an amazing job down here! I got invited to interview very last minute due to my performance as a Temp. I had to give a presentation, and I got the job.
It's a GREAT job that is a perfect fit for my skills and sorts out my money situation! It's well paid. I WILL FINALLY HAVE REGULAR MONEY AGAIN!
I can't tell you how good that feels or how excited I can.
My XAH was in contact last week saying he wants to fix the marriage and he was ready to talk about everything. He admitted to having a problem and sounded quite level headed in his emails. He said he has a drug problem, is in recovery and putting a plan into place for relapses.
I said great. I said I would talk to him on the phone however we both need to concentrate on our own recoveries and I was not making any promises for the future.
He said he would call me to talk.
That was last week and I have not heard anything since.
Oh well.
Today has been a great day with the news about my new job, however I have also found myself feeling sad. Normally this is news I would share with him and we would have been excited together.
That part feels sad.
Anyways, I am sharing it with you guys!
:-)

Great news, Carmen! And GOOD FOR YOU!
You no doubt know you are going to get some very predictable
responses regarding future probable addict setbacks----but it is
VERY important that you separate that from the terribly good
news TODAY.
You did it. You got it. YOUR performance raised eyebrows and
screamed to some organization "It would be a strategic mistake to let
this one go".
Forget addiction. Forget sadness. This is your day. Someone WANTS
you for what YOU bring to the table-----nobody twisted their arm.
Enjoy it. Keep enjoying it.
That's an order, soldier.

Great news, what a huge relief. I am happy for you.
I've read and related to many of your posts....thank you for sharing your good news here, I hope you went out and had a great dessert or something.
(I just had a waffle cone, in case you need an idea)

Carmen ... I love French also. As you may know - JOIE is 'joy' - a reminder for me to make every day as wonderful as I can and to bring joy to others for everyone is fighting a battle that we may never see.
Keep going forward, one foot in front of the other - no grass growing under your feet !
Have a great day, thanks for sharing a very happy event for you
Hugs
Joie
