6 months...
Well i just hit 6 months today and I want to say I am happy that I have gotten to this point and credit this to support from these forums along with my wife and family.
I also want say what I have come to realize after this time. I feel much better most of the time and I have been able to be way more productive at work and at home. I have not had any fights with my wife other than maybe a small argument that would be normal for any couple. I have not missed any work due to drinking which is great. I am a contractor and work for my own company. I noticed going through records I have more time put in this year already than I had last year in early September. This is due to not blowing off jobs due to hangover ect.
I will say it has not been easy and I just posted yesterday about how my anxiety crept back early this week. I am glad I still remember how gross I felt when I was always hungover and sick while still drinking. I know I still have a long road ahead but I am going one day at a time.
I thank everyone here for being a part of my recovery.

Great post sva777. Congratulations on 6 months. That is excellent news.
Regarding the anxiety, I still have occasional issues like you do, but it is much easier to address than when I was self-medicating with alcohol.
Good luck on your continued journey. It will keep getting better.

I look forward to five months from now when I hope to do the same.

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words.
I wish many of the people who were on here back when I started posting were still around. I often wonder how they are doing. If your new on here remember this is a place with lifetime support which I believe we all need as in we are never "cured of this disease.
Have a great weekend everyone.
