Neurologist appointment today

Bugging the f out !!!!!! Not sure what to expect but; ready to deal instead of "I don't wanna deal !!!!!"

My name is August West, and I love my Pearly Baker best more than my wine.
More than my wine - more than my maker, though he's no friend of mine.

Good. I always find that the anticipation of scary things is far worse than the actual event. I hope the same for you.

I've gotten some good heads up from friends as to what to expect & been very very cautious as to my meds, so I have some left if I start to bug.

Went very well; speaking to me at length, he came right out & said it is severe anxiety. He is 51-49 % leaning on keeping me on anti sez meds to avoid adding to my anxiety.

He told me just by talking to me I am intelligent & actually have a better grasp on things than most he talks to.

Brought up Grateful Dead as well so that's added points. Have 6 month evaluation now.

Great news AW. Of course severe anxiety is not good, but you have identified the problem and it is a treatable one. Best of luck on your journey.

I've just got to say two of the best concerts I ever attended were the Dead in 1982 and again in 1989. I wish I'd seen them more, but I have a big stack of CDs to enjoy. If any band gave you your money's worth it was the Dead.

Good to hear the goid news from the doc.

Don't forget archive.org brother every show played. Even some of the "Acid" test .... 34 shows from '87-'95, missing '90 .... 1 Furthur show & clean & sober through 31 of them ...

Rumors abound for east coast tour Billy wants it !!!!! RFK baby .......

You are functioning now AW..maybe not 100% but you are functioning. A lot of meds can take UP TO a month to start working, but the can also start working much sooner than that for many. I bet you will learn some other techniques you can use to supplement the meds as well.

Dennis, you are thirty days closer to the improved functionality you seek than you were yesterday.

You are doing well, Dennis; hang tough - you can do this; you have come a long, long way already.
