Something isn't right

Boring post warning:

The last 3 days I have no appetite and no energy. I feel like I'm half asleep until mid-afternoon. This is not normal for me. I am a morning person. I am sleeping 1-2 hours later and meander through the morning and early afternoon in a fog. I start to come around late afternoon and then in the evenings I feel pretty active, hungry and "normal". I can't figure it out. This needs to change quick as we return to work tomorrow and I'll need to be 100% by 6:30am. That gives me about 13 hours. Its not booze. Narcotics...maybe. Biorhythms....I do believe in them. Either way, I can't figure it out and need to snap out of it. Should I make a pot of coffee? I dunno.

My guess would be the painkillers. I assume you are on some sort of opioid?

I guess I have one more thing that could be the culprit, maybe someone can help. They gave me a ton of Valium when I left the hospital. I've been taking 1/2 of a 5mg tablet when I go to bed. helps me not wake up if I move in the middle of the night and experience pain in my knees (don't worry, I'm safe, the braces are on, so I am not at risk of damaging anything). So the question is, does Valium build up in your system? Like is it lingering in my body making me feel listless?

I think it's the painkillers. I hope you get some proper rest....I too have my days and nights mixed up.

I'm going go with tired Jeff. You were up pretty late last night yeah?

If you're concerned, though, you need to ask your Dr - we can't, and shouldn't, be making guesses or giving diagnoses here.

I remember having procedures on my legs as a teen - it's weird but after a while sitting around can get very fatiguing.

Lots going on Jeff. Staying up late when your body needs the rest more than it ever did is probably not helping. Early sobriety and multiple pain killers probably aren't either. Maybe time to give a call to the doc tomorrow just to make sure all is ok with your healing inuries?

Hi Della, yeah, I'm on pain meds. But I have been now for about five and half weeks, with no issues

That could very well be it. Not sure what I'm going to do with this wheelchair when I'm done with it....bronze it, or burn it.

Hye Scott, I see both my physical therapist and my doctor on Wednesday so I'll mention it. Maybe my body is just "tired". As mentioned, lots of healing going on with the surgeries, got new employees starting tomorrow (stress), pain meds kind of goof me up a little. I've put a lot of mental and physical effort into keeping my life "normal" when clearly it is not. Things are different now, from the alcohol to my general health and everything in between.
