Day 20 is fantastic!!

Yeap dreams seem to be a common thing in Sobriety, they can be quite a roller coaster, and the panic when waking up can be quite unsettling, though hang in there!!

Well done on 20 Days!!

Yes , I had several very vivid drinking dreams and have heard from friends they have as well. I actually felt I had relapsed when I awoke.

As I've gained some time I've come to view them as a healthy reminder of how lousy I felt after a night of drinking.

You're doing great!!- keep it up, the dreams will dissipate

Drinking dreams are common. They will lessen with more sober time.

I must be an oddball, because I have never had dreams of drinking. Ever.

I only had a few but they were extremely unsettling! I remember waking up very angry that I drank and then the wonderful realization that it was only a dream. No big deal really.

Congratulations on 20 days! I have had quite a few dreams that I was drinking since I stopped 67 days ago. I always wake up feeling weird and a bit guilty.

Yes! I can relate, but they are always combined with other things that are on my mind/ bothering me in my subconscious. You wake up thinking it's so real!

I've never had any drinking dreams. If they are anything like my drug using dreams they are no fun - the crashing guilt and thinking my sobriety is wrecked until I wake up.

Yep. Did it today during a nap.

SO THANKFUL when I woke up and realized it wasn't real.

The other night I was drinking wine in my dream. Then someone poured it on me. I woke up! I could taste and smell it.

Yep, the drinking dreams. I still have them at day 25. All kinds of dreams, but the drinking dreams were more common between days 8-15 for some reason.

One thing I noticed shortly after the initial physical withdrawal symptoms wore off around the end of the first week was that I was dreaming a lot more and remembering the dreams in the morning. It had probably been well over a year since I'd been dreaming (or at least remembering them). I welcome the ability to dream again.

**Now I have to admit that I have been taking some St John's wort and Sleepytine Extra tea before bed, so that might also be messing with the brain chemistry at night.
