4th of july-no black cloud
This will be my 2nd sober 4th of July, last year at this time I was very newly sober. I remember obsessing about not having fun, dreading it, and it being ok but my AV was loud and clear! This year as I'm making plans, it's hardly crossed my mind! For everyone very early on, it really does get better with time, changes in your triggers, and a support system. I'm so happy that alcohol doesn't own me anymore.

We're going to a dinner party tonight. I bought a six pack because my Lady would like to have a beer and we'd like to bring something for our hosts.
I'm bringing a homemade non-alcoholic Coconut-Lime-and-Mint sparkling water, and marveling at how much alcohol will be consumed in this little town this weekend.
