Hi All,
I just joined SR today officially, but truth be told, I have been following threads for the past 30 days to keep me going. Thank you all for being here and helping me get through the first 30 days of sobriety (unknowingly).
I quit drinking and smoking cigarettes on the same day - June 2, 2015.
Feels like I should be here with everyone, not just passively observing.
This site has been like a sober friend to me. I don't have many sober friends at this point. Not yet anyway... :-)
Still trying to figure out what I'm doing in my life/relationships. Still don't trust myself. Still wish I could drink 1 to 2 bottles of wine per night along with a pack and 1/2 of smokes, like its normal and fine, like I have for the past 5 years. Part of me misses being stupid and loud and irrational and irresponsible and self destructive.
But I know that's the addict that misses those things, not Me.
So it's been 30 days, which feels good. But not earth shatteringly fantastic, just good.

Welcome to SR, Kali15! Congrats on one month! That's amazing.
Hope you'll become an active participant here. I've found that building some accountability to myself and to others has been the cornerstone of my recovery this time.
