"Heart in the Wild"

I recently picked up this book at my local library along w/several other nature-themed books. However, I found it not to be your typical "nature book." The author (Susan Chernak McElroy) experienced her house burning down followed in short order by divorce. Years prior to this, she had a bout with cancer. Animals were teachers and sources of inspiration for her, but again, not in the typical "nature book" ways. "Heart in the Wild", to me, is about loss, grief, transformation and life, and really resonated w/me. It's a worthwhile read, in my opinion.

That sounds good. I love to read and will add it to my list.

Parts of it just really spoke to me, so directly that I'm ordering it off of Amazon. I don't buy a lot of books, only ones I feel I'll re-read many times, and this is one of those.
