It is on limited release on Friday (3rd July) in both the UK and USA - I'm not sure about Canada though Calico but it's bound to be the art house cinema sometime soon I would have thought

I believe July 10 is the release date for theaters in the US and a week earlier for the UK.

@Soberwolf----her friends tried to save her but couldn't. Her family doesn't come off well at all. Her Dad abandoned the family until she became famous. And she wanted her Dad back

She tried to save herself but then fell even deeper--
something we all understand.

The film is very powerful and so well done--worth a trip to the theater
as it has a lot of music that should be heard properly. But somehow the film draws you in and makes you feel like you know her---tragic story for sure

Thanks for the info. It is a tragic tale. The comments about her father brought to mind the lyrics of Rehab. "I don't have the time, and my daddy thinks I'm fine." She wasn't fine.
