Thank you for having me here!!
I am so glad that I found this site and thank you for having me. I am on day One in my recovery after a 8 year hiatus in to the world of addiction. I am 54 years old and have been an addict most of my life starting with meth at 15 years old and then alcohol and cocaine at 21 years old. Sober at 30 years old till my daughter was born and then picked up where I left off with meth and alcohol until I was 45 in 2006 and finally got into a 12 step program and was finally sober for 2 years. Divorced my alcoholic husband in 2008 and then sustained a serious back injury in 2008 and spiralled back into addiction with meth and alcohol. Stopped the meth in 2012 but still used alcohol until a few days ago. Currently am seeking AA meetings here in my hometown and going to intensive therapy sessions. Am finally ready, willing and able to get sober. I went back to my alcoholic ex-husband in 2012 after I lost everything I owned including my home and still with him.He has no desire to quit. I need all the support I can get and am glad to be here!!!

I am new around here, too, and am finding lots of good info and support.
My husband drinks every night, without fail, so I understand how hard that is.
