Found my trigger
Found my trigger
I've been sober for a bit over 15 month, and proud to say "still am".
I always heard people say this or that triggers them. I never really had any specific "Thing".
Until today.
I was a heavy wine drinker. The sweetness, dry and smooth.
You name it, I liked it --with a shot of vodka to enhance the buzz.
Back to my trigger--- a simple overly ripe grape!

Sleepie,
I simply just don't think about it.
Yet, at the beginning I sometimes laid a bit low on the forums.
When I heard people were going through a relapse--that would just get my head spinning. Everyone was so nice and supportive about relapse that their support seemed to make me not as strong to stay sober. Does that make sense? Now I show support in that way because I am stronger with my own sobriety.
We all take things differently-we have to use our better judgment on what work best for us

15 Months is fantastic!!
Triggers can come out of nowhere, Xmas and cold winter nights I found were mine as I was a whisky drinker, but thinking about alcohol I've learned is ok, mere thoughts don't cause hangovers in the morning!!
