Aches and pains?

When you were at your worst with alcohol, did you start feeling pain in the sides, back, stomach etc? I feel like the day after, I am so damn achy everywhere.

And anyone else obsess over whether your liver is the size of a beachball the day after binging? Its eating away at my anxious head

Please see your doctor. I will tell you that after seeing mine I am so relieved. But I was so scared for bad news. I was given another chance by the grace of God. Pray. I will be praying for you too.

Yes, the more I kept drinking the worse it got. Eventually the damage can become irreversible, I hope you can find the strength to seek help and quit before it comes to that.

Constantly. Fear for my liver is what made me start doing Internet searches in the first place. Then I stumbled onto this site and im healing so much more than my liver. Good luck to you scared1234.

That was how I found SR too. Health anxiety is one of the many downsides of drinking.

Alcohol did me no favours whatsoever, from health, to emotional/mental wellbeing, it was slowly killing me and I needed to get off the train before it crashed!!

You can turn this around and not have to feel any of this ever again!!

Aches and pains were one of my main reasons for attempting to be sober again. That and it's turned me into a 20 pounds heavier than I should be slob. I also have a hiatal hernia from my poor dietary habits, so a lot of it was acid reflux related, to my knowledge. Either way, that's already begun to calm down and I'm only on day two. I'm hoping the more I can commit to getting healthy, everything else will improve.

I can't speak to the liver stuff, but I had joint pain that was pretty bad. Not offering medical advice but I think alcohol is an inflammatory, and obviously dehydrates. Those two things don't mix well.
