Things do get better
Things do get better
Today is 8 months for me, and a lot has happened over that time. I have taken my festival vending to a new level and am actually using skills I have to create show specific items. 1st show paid all my past bills, 2nd was thrown back into the business to branch out into vinyl cutting.
Setting goals in sobriety is a good tool to keep you on the path. Read those goals every day, if the urge to use or drink comes along, remember those goals and that you probably can't reach them if you pick it up.
My goal isn't reached yet, but each day I am a bit closer. Yesterday I finally was able to do a 50th reunion logo on the vinyl cutter for the first time. Was proud of myself, also for the business it will be a huge seller this year. So it was a goal accomplished I had set.
At the shows I'm around alcohol and weed the whole time, no cravings and weed smoke is nauseating... Lol who would have thought. Good luck all!

Thanks for the post. I've been spending more time on my business too......I'm actually caught up if you will.........and am in a holding pattern waiting for the new tests to come out on the 22 nd so I can certify for 2016. This will be the first time I'm ahead of schedule.
Let me add that staying sober is not something I have done on my own, I attend meetings, do what I can do to be active, and pray to my higher power constantly. None of this would be possible with out AA or those in the program that support me.
