Crashed the wagon

Not a proud moment at all. Hit 14 days and was so happy, stupid mistake of thinking just one beer in the sun (that was last Friday).

Back to square one, at least you can learn from your mistakes.

You're the first person this has ever happened to.

I' ve hit a lot of days where I thought a few wouldn't hurt. It did open my eyes that I was using specific days when I condsidered safe to drink.
Back then it events, too. Big game. Drink. Football did me in a lot.
It was rough to get past these triggers. I earned it, Just this once and I can control it this time.
Then, it didn't take anyting special, I was right back where I was before, a drunk.

Glad you have a self-awerness, so hopefully you'll be prepared next time.
I feel for you. You can do it again. I didn't get it right away, I had many failures.
But just remember that first drink and where it'll lead.
You never have to have another day one. And here's hoping you never do.

Hopscotch,
A lot of us have had that experience. It's never just one, is it?
Well, live and learn and move on; tomorrow is a new day and a new start for you.
Don't beat yourself up over this, just recommit to sobriety.
You can do this! We are all here for you, and together we can be successful.

You hit the nail on the head, at least you can learn from it. Very critical. And you will. Very best of luck to you. Give it heck.

I am in the same boat as you. Exact same situation. Summer time and Christmas time are hard for me to stay sober I have noticed. Just have to keep goin bud. Don't get upset and feel hopeless if you make the same mistake more than once. The path to sobriety has lots of ups and downs.

Day ones are THE WORST. I am experiencing one today. I hope I never have another day one.. Just thought I'd let you know I like what you said there. Have a nice day

The last time I crashed the wagon it took me almost two years to start driving again, good for you for coming back so quickly!

Hopscotch, We're just glad you came right back. Sometimes we are not quite ready - but you learned something. Let's do this.
