Did the Karma bus park at my house today?
I am just blown away today. I had a terrific weekend, got back with my daughter, then tonight I went to get my mail.
Lots of mail from OPM. Office of Personnel Management regarding pension divisions.
Well I finally got a hold of them last week because I have not heard anything from them except they wanted my direct deposit info. When I talked to them last week, I questioned the amount of my ex's pension. They were withholding for survivors benefits. I told them there were no survivors benefits. I'm not entitled to that being divorced.
When I talked to them, I actually thought I was doing myself a favor and my ex a favor.
So I went to the mailbox today, got a bunch of letters from them, opened them all, then realized I got his by mistake. It was addressed to him, but it was in my mailbox, don't know how that happened. I live in Pa, he lives in NC.
His letter stated that it was an amended award. It told him that they overpaid him over $1000. That he will be receiving $200 less then what he was getting and for the next 5 months, they will withhold $200 to recoup the overpayment.
Forgive me, I started typing this about 2 hours ago, then got a phone call. so finished this after the phone call without proofreading what I wrote.
Well anyway, this weekend, I got my daughter back, and my ex got screwed in his pension.
I can't really celebrate the pension part, and how it was bad for him, I can only celebrate that things are finally going the way things should be going.

I sent him the letter today, but also last night I couldn't control myself.
I sent him an email letting him know that I received this letter and that I would forward it to him. I just told him that it was an amended award letter, and that I had called about the pension last week and found out that it was being reduced because of survivors benefits being erroneously withheld. I perhaps led him to believe his check was going up !!!! Was that bad of me????
I further advised him that they will now start to work on my pension split. That they weren't working that because they didn't have the divorce papers with that. (He screwed that one up). I told them to use mine for it, so I told him he should be hearing shortly on that, but also let him know that he screwed up, and I fixed it for him, without saying that directly.
I'm just really feeling so good today, and all of my unpaid bills are now paid.
