Day 7

Day 7 close heaven.

That's how it feels anyway compared to where I was this time last week.
A lot of good ppl on here told me to take it slow, that's exactly what I've been doing. Lol, I think I've seen everything on Netflix by now

Anyway, sending virtual love and peace to anyone that is having second thoughts about staying sober. I know I'm still fresh in the journey, I still have a long way to go but, I'm one day closer and oh yeah, I'm not drinking. Period. I don't even desire one. Sure I miss how I used to fall into a numbing cocoon only to later, emerge as a drunken butterfly...

I will probably always miss that feeling too but when I think about the morning after and going back to that ugly caterpillar once again...no thanks and no way in hell. Not today.

Last couple days, I've been lazy as hell and I haven't accomoplished a lot outside of my house...this is just gonna have to do for now. I have a strong feeling this exhaustion will pass. If anyone else is feeling similar please stay strong, you are not alone.

Congrats on one week, amazeme! Laughed at your line about watching everything on Netflix.

Keep on this path, it's such a fulfilling one! I'm discovering new rewards in sobriety each and every day.

I'm the exact same, and also consider myself on day 7. I have accomplished absolutely nothing in the past 48 hours. I've managed to keep the house clean, dogs fed, maybe did 2 hours of work, and that's it. Like you, I'm just shrugging it off, and not worried about it.

I think now is when the insomnia part starts though. We'll see how that goes.

Yes indeed Casey. Keep reminding myself, baby steps.

I'm also very curious to meet the woman I really am. Sober, natural, refreshed...
Before I started drinking I was a teenager so, who am I really?

That desire is keeping me sober too.

Troy, stay strong

You know when I got to day 5...I said, okay now I need to draft a schedule, start a new routine, work out two times a day, eat even tho I don't feel like it, etc...

I want to do all those things, and I'm sure I will but right now, I just can't drink.
Today, that's all I can handle.

So feeling guilty about lack of movement (so early in) we will not

Least, I so wish I had a puppy right now
House is quiet, just me and if I wasn't in an apt...

I would get a dog today.

Congratulations amazeme, I'm also on day 7!

I did feel crazy tired the first few days and probably still do....but it is a kind of tired I can manage (I can work and manage to get off the sofa to do things...unlike the debilitating exhaustion of hangovers that didn't allow me to do anything! At least now I don't have fatigue combined with splitting headache combined with dizziness combined with stomach pain from drinking).

Congratulations again!
