Healing Crisis?!
Well I'm on day 8 and I woke up feeling terrible, feel like I have a bad cold. Not had one in years and years, even while drinking heavily.
I read on the internet that it could be something called Healing Crisis? Its something todo with the toxins (alcohol no doubt) not being expelled quick enough from your system which triggers a run down feeling.
While its not really a crisis I just wanted to know if anyone else suffered similar?

It's very common hopscotch.
I know I was running on empty for a long time using booze to physically get me through my day.
Take the booze away and I fell in a heap for a little while. I had some recuperating to do .
You will fell healthy and strong again tho

I figured that what I had was a normal cold or flu - but my immune system was a little sluggish due to my self abuse
I felt pretty rough for a week or more - but I was pretty run down.
Your mileage may vary depending on your fitness, age, and stuff like that

HS, like the others are saying this is your body's way of getting back to where it should be.
It will get easier, and every hour you don't put alcohol in, your body is getting stronger and stronger.
Way to go on day 8. Hang in there!
