Stanley Unwin was the publisher of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He thought it might sell a few thousand copies so he gave JRR Tolkien a very small advance but a good commission percentage. Cost Unwins a lot but they still did well out of it.

Hey BB, but even we know in SA that George W was an alcoholic - I think it was in the papers years ago.

I know of a couple of the US guys that were pot smokers etc in their time. Don't know any that were dealers.

Hi guys. I'm just putting it out there that I'm having a rough day. Feeling old and small and tired. Forgot that I have a dental appointment today but I'll be there. Hair appointment tomorrow. That will cheer me some. Maybe I'll go dig in my garden before the dentist. Though that's playing hooky from work. Mental health time. I need it.

((Ruby))....go dig and forget work this afternoon! Getting outside always helps my mood improve. What are you getting done to your hair tomorrow? I need some inspiration....I've got hair almost to my waist with long layers but I feel the need for something new.

And I totally forgot it was hump day.....I usually rely on Brains thread to remind me.
