I will not drink.

This little cartoon from the comic's yesterday reminds me of who I am.Today I may be happy, mad, glad, sad etc. These emotions and "feelings" will always be with us = we are human.

But, in sobriety as an alcoholic, I deal with things soberly! I do not escape to the dark pit for solace. I know if I need help getting through ya'll are here - on SR and elsewhere.

None of us are ever alone. At times we are by ourselves, but never alone


Not long ago, I used my feelings as an excuse to drink. I was coping, getting through life - She made me drink, the Boss is an arse, the IRS is on my back.....it's Monday.

Hogwash and boulderdash!
Today you have taught me how to face life, to embrace the pain and grow from the experience.

We all have a choice today........
Together, WE stay sober

Yes, I used to believe that my mood was at the whim of whatever happened to pass by me during the day. A friend likened it to feeling like you were being tossed about on the ocean. Knowing that there is a safe place within myself has been life-changing.
