Low Heartrate in early sobriety
Low Heartrate in early sobriety
Hi guys.
I have noticed my resting heart rate, each time I have gotten sober, is around 55. When I was drinking, it would shoot up into the 90's or above.
Fortunately, my neighbor is also my cardiologist and I texted her this morning in full disclosure. She told me unless I was feeling faint, not to worry about it. That was very comforting.
I am also on a meditation binge, meditating at least an hour a day if not more. I know it can reduce heart rate along with fish oil which I take.
Some times throughout the day it dips to 51 (I have a heart rate monitor on my smart phone).
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this in sobriety.
Thanks in advance.
