Two weeks into a four week rehab

Hello all. I have posted here before. I kept the drinking under control for a long time, but nearly three weeks ago I snapped. I had a six day vodka binge that culminated in me phoning a private rehab. I've been here for two weeks, detox from the huge binge done and slowly adjusting. Full of hope, and think I'm ready to rebuild life via AA.

Just to say hello more than anything. I tried the easier softer way... Snow.

Great to hear from you Snow. I do believe we have to be ready - sounds like you are. I had the same experience in the past - every time I tried to control it I was led back to the same old nightmare. Glad you are getting free of it.

May I ask how much the rehab cost you.

Hello all! It's day 24 for me here, and day 23 of sobriety. I think I finally get this. It's certainly drummed into us, very intensive.

I have completed step 1. 44 pages of work to smash any last denial.

In answer to the cost - I am in London and it's not a psychiatric facility like the Priory. It was nearly 7,000 for 28 days. It has been well worth it.

I feel much better inside and out.

Just for today, I am sober and working this.

Congratulation on your decision to seek rehab help.
I know many who have went through rehab and stayed sober.
Shoot for it, you will also be one of those.
